I’m cycling to raise money for children’s cancer research,  this is my 3rd year to do it.

Every year I bump up how many miles I ride,  this year I’m hoping for 200 miles and to raise $500, which means I need to start riding more,  lol. Each year I cycle for someone I know that has beat cancer or lost their life to cancer.  The first year I rode for my Nana. She passed away when I was 10 years old from lung cancer.  Last year I rode for my Mother in Law who kicked cancers A**! And this year I’m riding for my cousin in laws wife,  Jennifer,  who lost her battle with breast cancer. This fundraiser is important to me because like others I’ve lost loved ones to it and I hope scientists can find a cure in the near future!

Here’s a recent update from Kara’s Great Cycle Challenge profile and why we were inspired to start this program with her (https://greatcyclechallenge.com/Riders/KaraKelly):

This September, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer!

Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children’s Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

Please support me by making a donation to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.

Your support will change little lives.

Thank you.

Kara
